The Alchemist is a story about a long and arduous search for his own happiness. The young Andalusian shepherd Sanitario sets out in search of buried treasure in the Egyptian pyramids. Guided by an alchemist through the desert, he will learn to listen to his heart, read the signs of fate, and most importantly, follow his dream to the end.
Dedicated to the child that every person carries within themselves, The Alchemist is a wonderful philosophical story that teaches us that life is a great book in which everyone could decipher the signs, if they "read" their heart.
“The Alchemist is a kind of philosophical tale that critics compare to Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince, because the author interprets the excessive optimism and dreams in this work not as an escape, but as a way to understand reality. In 1994, the American Booksellers Association declared The Alchemist the best book for young people. The Alchemist is also the theme of the musical performed in 1997 in Japan, which was used as inspiration by composer Walter Taleb for the symphony of the same name, released in 1998, and the film company Werner Brothers has purchased the rights to make a film.”
