City Library “Brakja Miladinovci” - Skopje
The City Library "Braka Miladinovci" - Skopje welcomes you to the library network of 4 (four) sectors - central libraries, 14 (fourteen) branch libraries and a mobile library - Bibliobus, which operate as part of the City Library "Braka Miladinovci", distributed throughout the territory of the city of Skopje.
Throughout seventy-three years of its existence and activities, the City Library "Brakja Miladinovci" - Skopje is an institution in the field of culture which plays a significant role in the collection, storage, protection, research, analysis, promotion and use of the written cultural history, giving a contribution to the development of knowledge and the fostering of national and cultural values.


The wealth of a library is measured by the number of the books, but also by the collection of rare editions. The library has a collection of old and rare books from the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th century, significant for science, art and culture. The collection is made up of: old printed books in Macedonian until 1948; old printed books in Latin from the 16th to the 19th century; old printed books in Cyrillic; old printed books in Arabic and Turkish. The collection represents a cultural heritage of particular importance – subcategory of great importance.

The core of the City Library "Brakja Miladinovci" consists of a representative collection of old and rare books, as well as a significant collection of paintings, watercolors and drawings from the Macedonian contemporary fine art, which are unique in their value.
