"I need your help, detective. Fire or water?"
Detective Robert Hunter receives an anonymous call with a strange request: to visit a specific web address - a kind of private broadcast of content. Hunter opens the address and immediately begins a show designed specifically for his eyes. But the caller doesn't want Detective Hunter to just watch, he wants to participate, and refusing is simply not an option.
Forced to make a sickening choice between two equally gruesome options, Hunter must sit by and watch the torture and murder of an unidentified victim live on the internet. The LAPD and the FBI use all their resources to electronically track the broadcast, but this killer is no amateur and has covered his tracks flawlessly from A to Z. Before Hunter and Garcia can even officially begin their investigation, Hunter gets another call. New website. New victim. But this time, the killer takes the game to the next level: a live murder reality show, where everyone can vote on the method of the murder.
