The Girl Who Painted Death is Andrea Mirčevska's debut novel. Her roommate Filipa signs her up to participate in an exhibition of new, young painters, where she meets architecture student Adam. Dark secrets from Julia's complex past surface that strongly shake her romance with Adam. Betrayals, sexual harassment, murders, impaired mental health... are just part of the series of challenges she and the other characters face in this novel.
