The “Cvetan Dimov” Library is one of the oldest libraries in the city. It dates back to 1947 and has been multiethnic from its very establishment, making it unique of its kind in our capital. According to its organizational structure, the Central Library Cvetan Dimov and its branches represent a very important segment in the mosaic of libraries that make up the “Brakja Miladinovci” City Library – Skopje. The “Cvetan Dimov” Library and its branches: “Sv. Naum Ohridski,” “Gjorgji Abadziev,” “Kočo Racin,” “Kole Nedelkovski,” and “25 Maj” are located across three Skopje municipalities: Butel, Gazi Baba, and Chair. Fiction, the latest global bestsellers by top literary masters, required reading editions, as well as scientific publications, are subjects of constant interest to the reading public. As a multiethnic library, our institution holds literature in several languages: Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Serbian, etc., including both fiction and works from various scientific fields. The Central Library “Cvetan Dimov” is located in the new building of the Chair Municipality.
