“Hotel Between Two Wars” is a bold and rich pseudo-historical novel about the love of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Eleni Karinte. A forbidden empire in the gap between fact and fiction, between wars and peace, between the heart and mind within us, but also outside of us. A siege of Troy created in Mustafa’s soul against the onslaught of Eleni’s sadness and pain written in two novels: the long postmodernist Hotel Between Two Wars by Rusyakov and the short, sentimental novel of the same name by Eleni, nestled in it as a spare female heart.
